Blog update June 2026.

Monthly update, and compertition results.

Hello,

Hello June, hello Sun, Hello summer time, where have you been ive missed you! Its been good to have some proper summer weather for a change and a chance to go out.

This month I entered three cpmpertitions on Photocrowd.com 1. 'Portraits of People' 2. 'Silhouette portraits' and 3. 'Dogs Only, with Expressive Faces' ive put the three photots i entered below, and im pleased to say that each image did quite well (by my standards) and as these are favourite images of mine i was especaly pleased. 

This image of my younger brother. It placed 1276th out of 3,791 entries and scored crowed top 50% it also receved a merit from the judge. Im very pleased and suprised with the result its obviosly one of my favourite shots but its good to get a small regognision of that too.

Next was this image of Ana Maria Viga taken on a welshot event last year. This compertition was not corwed voted but did recevie an commended by trhe expert judge. Again im very pleased with that I think its a grate image which im very proud of.

Lastly was this image of my friends puppy. it placed 521st out of 1500 entries and scored crowed top 50% it also receved a merit from the judge. Another favourite imge of mine that has special memories attached to it.

I try to enter one or two compertitions a month mostly to give me something to do with the photos, I dont usualy share the results but these three have done a lot better then most other ones, so I thought it was worth shareing them here at least.

Ive also tried to stick to my plan of doing something or going somewhere with the camera each week in June, last week I visited Llyn Alwen reservoir and this week I did another wedding event. Both of them I talk a little bit about in my latest vlog.

Looking ahead ive got another Portrait seesion booked with welshot on Wednesday 24th, this will be my first with them for a while but im looking forward to it. Ive also planed my first solo camping trip for July, ill be staying on Anglsea for two night and using the time to visit a few places around the area. Ill do another vlog about that at the time
