Blog update Feb 2026.
Hello,
Last weekend i visited Rhaeadr Fawr (Aber Falls) located about two miles south of the village of Abergwyngregyn, Gwynedd, Wales. The waterfall is formed as the Afon Goch plunges about 120 feet over a sill of igneous rock in the foothills of the Carneddau range.
The weather held up and dispite the forecast it turned out to be a lovely day. ive Never walked the whole way around before, its not that far or difficult really, and the views are spectacular, and a good oportunity to talk . Ihave been here before a few years ago and i was left wondering if my photography has improved much in that time. I guess ive learnd some stuff but have I developed a style?
As usual there are some photos linked below.
In other news and looking to next month. Ive booked my first portrat session in almost 12 months, which is at Montrose studios , I'll include a link to the event below. Before that I've got my friends wedding to go to, I've been asked to help with the photography, which im very happy about and nervous too. With both these things in mind ive bought myself a 50MM Nikkor lense which im looking forward to using. Other than that I've a week off at the end of the month and plan on another day out somewhere but I dont know where yet.
